Hey Everyone,
Hope you all are doing lovely and feeling great. I realized today that I really need to post a lot more of my outfits. I am definitely on point with my Dark-Skinned Girls Rock! posts, but outfit posts...eh not so much lol. I promise I will try to step my game up. As most of you know, I'm in my last semester of graduate school so most of my spare time goes towards my completing my research and assignments for my classes. Right now I can barely keep my eyes open as I type and its only 9:48 pm.
Anywho, this outfit is a play on mixing prints and I love how it turned out. Its not too drastic and its a great look if your are a novice at this trend. I know mixing prints can be a little intimidating, and although I am no pro at mixing prints, I do have a few tips that you can use if you're apprehensive, but still want to try it out.
When you mix prints you have to:
1. Be confident! If you're wearing something and you're not confident or comfortable in it, it shows in your demeanor. I always say that one should rock whatever they are wearing with pride!
2. Make sure the colors of the prints you choose to mix actually look good together! Mixing doodoo brown and neon green would probably get you some extra head turns....in a bad way.
3. Try not to go too crazy with the prints. You don't want to mix a multicolor plaid shirt with a tribal skirt...that is not the business and you will look crazy in the streets lol.
