Happy Birthday Cherrie Amore!

Hey Everyone!!

Hope you all are doing lovely and feeling great! Today is a BIG day. Cherrie Amore: Making the Inexpensive Look Expensive is one year old today! Omgoodness what a year! I remember starting this blog (check out my first post here) and being sooo nervous that no one would read it or like it, but I proved myself wrong lol. THANK YOU for all of your support: readership, emails, comments, tweets etc.

 

 I started this blog to mainly help me cope with being in a new environment, and make use of my idle time (as my mom would say idle minds are the Devil's playground haha); but overtime it has grown to be more than a "time-killer" for me. I enjoy blogging and enlightening women on how easy it is to be fashionable on a budget! I also love using the Dark-Skinned Girls Rock! series on Cherrie Amore as an outlet to empower and help dark-skinned women struggling with self-identity and self-acceptance. You would be surprised how much traffic Cherrie Amore gets because of this issue!

It amazing to see how much this blog has grown and although it's not at the place where I want it to be yet, I am still thankful and grateful for what it has come to be. I dream of being featured in Essence one day. I know that day will come if I stick to it and be persistent.
