I Found the Perfect Orange Lip Color!

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all are doing lovely and feeling great! For the past few months, I've been on the search for the perfect orange lip color. It was a search indeed because a lot of the orange colors did not compliment my skin tone.

NYX Indie Flix

The first orange lippie I tried was NYX's  Matte Lip Color in Indie Flick...but it was a fail. It was too darn bright so I ended up giving it to one of my friends. 

Covergirl Temptation

Next I tried Covergirl's Lip Color in Temptation. But it was too shimmery and didn't do me justice in any way shape or form!

Wet N' Wild Purty Persimmon

Then I decided to try Wet n' Wild's Megalast Lipstick in Purty Persimmon. I spotted it in Five and Below for only $1.99! BUT, it was a miss too. I looked a mess! I thought that I would never find the perfect orange lipcolor to suit me.

The problems with all these lip colors was that they were too bright for my liking. I tried filling in  and lining my lips with a brown lip liner to tone the Purty Persimmon down, but the end result was too dark and looked a HOT mess. Then I tried lining and filling in my lips with a nudish color (NYX's lip liner in Coral) and putting the Purty Persimmon on top...

 

And it came out niiiiiceee!! Its a nice coral-orangish blend lol. I LOVE! I will definitely be rocking this duo through out the fall.

And to think I was gonna throw the tube of Purty Persimmon away! Like one of CherrieAmore's readers said on the Facebook page, "its fun to mix it up [lip colors and lip-liners] and make your own shade of color!" So before you think about throwing that tube of lipstick away, try pairing it with different color lip liners and lip glosses until you find a shade you like! It worked for me :).
